Tank is getting clearer. My pump is to powerful tho. Im going to try and mod it alittle to get less flow coming out of it. It keeps stiring my sand up. It is a little to much power for the tank. I had it off all night and turned it on today to see if it stired my sand and sure enough it made a storm!!! Well hope i can find a mod to do it! Its an aqueon 500 circulation pump. I read ypu can clip the propeler alittle and it lowers flow so ill try that.

 

Cleared up nicely! Now i just need alittle more rock and my lighting!!

 

Also i had to use a return pump i had lauing around because my other was too powerful... Any ideas on a diffrent circulation pump? Not to powerful as i have really fine sand..

 

looking really good! I love the look of a nice, brand new tank set up. I'm not sure on the pump but I'll go back to your question on stocking. What about a type of goby. I love my goby/pistol combo.

Diatom bloom lasted about a week! Tank is got alittle left but is shaping up nicely! Now we just need to get through this cycle!
