That would be a bummer because they aren't moving. :)

I could try running without the 48" bulbs in the front for a while to see, but that would drastically reduce my light output.

That may not be a problem with the amount of light you have.

Wow you have added some very nice pieces.

It looks more filled in and nice placement.

Thank you. Getting close to the "Let it grow" phase. :)

Thanks. I'm hoping the euphyllias fill in without attacking each other too much. There's at least 6" between all of them except the yellow tip frogspawn and the blue tip hammer. Those are only about 3-4" apart. I can get that close to 6" with a little shifting.

    Much better pH control

My tank is in a basement of a very well sealed house. So, I was having trouble getting my pH above 8.0-8.1 with all the extra CO2.

Started using this (I think there are other products out there too) and lengthened the light cycle on my chaeto an extra couple hours at night. I made a little DIY container using a peanut jar and some microfilter pads (cut to size) to hold in the media, and I attached it too the air intake on my skimmer with tubing. My pH is now consistently in the 8.3-8.4 range. Noticing a little better color in the acans and on the tips of the euphyllia. Still have really good PE on everything.

Apex. Goes up to 8.4 during lights on and down to about 8.33'ish at the end of the "night" cycle.

Here's a pic of the DIY. Holes drilled in the bottom of the jar and a micropad on the bottom to hold the media in. Media turns purple when it's exhausted.

Here's the tank that started it all for me. My Mom's 180 gallon cichlid tank. She's lost livestock over time, and now they tend to hang out in the rock because there aren't enough in there to keep everyone out and moving.

This clown loach is over 15 years old. He hid behind the rocks when I tried to get a picture, so had to grab a shot from the end of the tank.
