Here is the Friends tank in the new setup. He had a good 40-50 pounds of rock and sand in a 30ish gallon tank. As I said before I got it at a steal. The big move and tank completion are coming! I found the pics on my laptop.

Plumbing heating and water flow explanation………….
I have the corner overflows with a 1” durso standpipe in each one. They both run individually through corrugated plastic into a basket that sits nicely in a piece of drilled 4" pvc pipe in the sump. The basket has filter floss in it. It was the only place that I could find to put it. I then ran my return system. It is a Mag 9.5 ran through a plastic hose to the hard 3/4 pipe. The pipe goes right into the middle up the back side and over the top of the glass. As soon as the U clears the inside and pointing back down I have it split with a T. After the T there are a few elbow joints to make it run to the corners and down under the sand/rock work. In each of the front bottom corners there is an eductor that flows up and towards the back of the tank. I set this up and realized before I put water in it, that I would have a major problem if the pump stopped. I would have a tank drained to less than 4" deep in less than 8 minutes. Not good. So the T fitting has a small hole in it that is under water when the tank is running. When the power goes out it starts it's siphon and goes until it hits the hole. It stops almost immediately. I then bought the Super upgrade kit for the maxi jets and put on on each corner. They are aimed down and out. I have the flow covered in the tank!! Somewhere along the line I ended up with a Hydor koralia pump that I just threw in there. It was free why not? There are 3 heaters 2 in the display attached to the downpipe water returns and one in the sump.
