That looks awesome. I already have so many green corals but I might add that one to my wish list!

This is easily one of my favorite tank builds yet. What kind of maintenance schedule are you on?

Froc3, If I read right, you attached the overflows with only silicone caulking? I am assuming you could attache them with screws, the seal over the screws with the epoxy or fiberglass on the outside, right?

It looks like I will be making my plywood tank sooner than expected. The 180 I had plans for won't be in my possession for a while...

Thats ok, I have the time now once I get back from diving in the Caribbean this weekend.

He has the cost breakdown somewhere in the thread. It is a couple pages in:)

Also, note he is in Canada, the prices are not the same as in the US. I will post prices I am getting for the supplies for my plywood reef build soon. Well, after I get back from diving in Puerto Rico this weekend.

Froc3, I was thinking of doing a eurobrace on my plywood tank. Any opinions on that??

Sorry guys, been some life stuff going on and havent been paying attention to my own darn thread. Ok, for maintenance schedule:
Water changes: 15-20g (~10%) Every second tuesday.
Media: Carbon and Phosban (Phosban only when needed, which is almost always :( )
I'm running the carbon only because I'm waiting on a new skimmer. These medias get changed monthly.
I actually have no mechanical filtration. The water is slow moving through the sump so it settles in the sump and is easily siphoned out. I have to wash the top of my sump quite often due to salt creep.

I test the water weekly and dose as needed.

Yes the Overflow boxes are held on with silicone only - I actually had friends hold down the tank as I hung off the overflows (185 lbs). You could seal the screws on the inside with the epoxy. As I mentioned before. Avoid getting silicone in areas that you will be painting with epoxy. The epoxy does not stick to the silicone and it's a pain in the butt getting the silicone out of the corners.

I've seen eurobracing done, but it takes an entire piece of plywood to go around the top.
