Just found your thread, awesome! I like the brain corals, too. Do you have any problems with having them close to each other? I have mine on opposite sides of my 75g but I'd like to add a couple more brains and don't want them to war with each other. I also like the mandarin. K+ to you!!

Thanks, yes the brains are fine like that. No problems yet. I don't like the quite touching so that they can fully extend, but they are rather close. I don't have much realestate left on the floor, so they have to stay close :p

Thanks! Gonna let the tank grow for a while now. Maybe get into some frag trading for some new LPS. My Candy canes are splitting like crazy and I'd love to have a nice zoa garden.

Froc3, so you have a Korallia4 on there? does it hold as is through the 3/4" plywood?

And did I read that you used the mod kit for the k4? How do you like the mod?

    I ordered 2 k4s for my 193g plywood build.

They should be here next week, and I will have water in the tank by the end of the week.(glass comes in on Monday)

A water test in the garage will be run for like 2-3 days, ten the tank goes in the basement on the stand.

The K4's Barely Hold through the plywood. Was kind of disappointed by that actually. But am currently looking for a stronger magnet for the outside.

Love the K4 mods. At least doubled the output from the powerheads. The only thing though, is that when you turn them off and back on, they run in the wrong direction. You have to put your hand on the end of the powerhead to block the suction, then the prop bangs around for a bit and then it either starts running in reverse again, or figures itself out. This can't be good for the prop and sometimes you end up standing there for an extended period of time with your hand in the water blocking the suction. Kind of annoying.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

Well, couldn't resist. Been waiting for them for a long time. They are in isolation right now. Got me a pair of Hawaiian flame wrasses. Both females. Ordered them from the LFS here. Was kind of disappointed with how small they are. At any rate. Will take pics when they come out.

You got them? You must have beat me by a minute at most. Oh well. Beautiful pair. I am definitely jealous.

    Edit:

Read through too fast. I was in the middle of ordering a mated pair from divers den thursday before they disappeared. They are an awesome fish.

    YES!!! FOUND MY PROBLEM!!

I have recently been battling ongoing issues with coral health - Could never figure out why.
Over the past month and a bit I've been doing maintenance out of the front of my sump (standing on the hardwood). Today I went to take out a phosban bag from the sump and BANG!! WTF was that. I got shocked... hard... Started unplugging stuff and my new skimmer (which i got in august) is sending stray voltage into my tank.

    It's a euro-reef rs180. Any suggestions for a new pump?

    Thanks in advance!
