    As you can probably tell, I only have the single 250w MH over the tank for now, I put all my corals within the appropriate range of the light so they are getting sufficient lighting. Sorry about the pics, it's just Nikon Coolpix s210.

    Thanks Otty. That Urchin has been with me for quite a while. The urchin in the last pic didn't do so well in the move :( Made a meal for my shrimp I guess.. they picked him clean before I even knew he was on the way out. :(

    YAAAAAAAAY!!! It's alive! Muahahahaha. It's hard to believe that came from pieces of plywood. Looking really nice. All the work is finally done (for now of course). Congratulations on a job well done.

    Two days ago I took my water in for testing and took my new test kits back. I'm red/green color blind and could not see the color changes that were occurring in these test kits - damn :p I got the LFS to test and here are the results:

    TDS = 4
    NH4 = 0
    NO2 = 0
    NO3 = 0
    Mag = 1420 - I was adding this because I used IO salt
    Ca = 390 ppm Was adding this as well - IO salt is low on Ca
    dKH = 11 higher than I want it
    sg = 1.027 - a little high, I'm going to remove 2g of salt water and replace with fresh until this comes down to 1.025

    Since everything came back in my favor I bought a small diamond spot sleeper goby - small bioload and someone to keep the place tidy. I have a friend coming to take pictures for his art class so hopefully I can post some of his shots later.

    A lot of silicone :p Works great - the external overflows are actually just siliconed in place as well. I could actually hang off of them and they didn't come off. My 200 lbs of weight will be much more than they'll ever bear.

    I'm color difficient as well. We took a test in science class two years ago, and of course I would test as color blind/deficient. I'm deficient meaning I can see the bloody colors, I just can't tell some of them apart. For example, most of the time I can't tell blue from purple to save my life. Are you blind as in blind? Or blind as in deficient like me? I hate color comparison tests as well...I ask my mom to verify all the time.

    Glad the tanks going along well! We want pics. More of them. MUCH more.

    I guess color deficient ?? lol I see greens and reds as mostly yellows depending on the blend of color used. If it's a pretty pure red or green it will be grey. I can usually tell the difference between shades though -Not with the salifert test kits.
