hey folks my quasi brother and i recently aquired a 150 gal tank that we are planning on housing my growing snowflake moray and variouis other large fish in. i was wondering what the easiest and most cost effective way would be to filtrate? (hang on filters, canister, sump, etc) it is of course going to have a deep sand bed and enough live rock to make the eel happy. a large aqua c skimmer will be incorporated b/c i have one now that works flawlessly. but what about other filtration?
    thanks a lot

you can go refugium, although it's not gonna be reef, right? I would just settle for a big sump with sock filtration.

I would still do a sump/refugium. You can easily make one with a 30-40g tank. The initial cost will be higher in the long run but the benefits will be worth it. If cost is the issue you could use HOT filters like 2 penguin 350's and power heads. I used this method in my 120g FOWLR tank for 6 months till I built my sump. It worked well but nitrates were always high till I started removing some of the bio wheels.
