Sorry for all the annoyance with all these threads about bulbs but im trying to find the right one. Im going to get either Phoenix or SPS. Anyone know the PAR on a 150 watt 14K SPS bulb. How are they compared to the 14K Phoenix 150 watt bulbs?? Thanks in advance...

You are overwhelming yourself with this really , As we used to say as a teenager growing up in the 60's if you don't know or understand your drug no your dealer :)

I never take anything I read advice on a damn thing from the PHd light guys to the water gods I have used every bulb on the market and have several brands here at home right now and I choose the SPS I have used the Phoenix and the aqua lines and Iwakies and on and on .

I had a Vendor to send us 3 SPS about 2 yrs to try out at the shop for feed back as they where using them I listened and I did try them they rocked I started tow change out every Ushio and Iwakie and aqua line we had . Removed the Ushio's from my own tank and installed the SPS I don't use them because I don't have options I have seen what they do.

All the corals we have at the shop all responded favorably to them thats why I put them over my tank here at home and my corals reacted the same way and thats what matters to me

Seems some experts get so busy focusing on a single tree they miss the forest :) I learn and advice from experience not articles or links to what other's want me to think or say :)

I do the same but when it comes to buying $50-$90 bulbs i want to know what other people think on their personal experience like you just gave me. Also to maybe send pics as i have gotten of the Phoenix in the Sunpod fixtue but not the SPS. One last question as i will most likely go for the SPS. How are they compared to the Phoenix in "BLUENESS" (my new word)??
