Ive seen people talking about having a tank full of xenia just for water filtration, but I dont know of anyone who's done it or if it would be beneficial.Maybe someone else will have some more ideas.

A friend of mine has xenia growing on the outside of the overflow box to help filter the water being taking to the sump. He claims it works well.

I'd prefer having a tank full of clams to filter the nitrates.

Is there any clams that you dont need intense lighting for. Some that would do fine under power compacts maybe?

    Just thinking about cost.
