150gallon Money PIT!!

They are 6500k energy saving flood lights and they have no heat but put out as much as a 100watt flood light. The scrubber looks small but its 12x12 i plan on maybe making it just a little bigger depends on how well it works.

 

Those bulbs do put out a little bit of heat but no where near what an incandescant (sp) bulb puts out. I use one on my fuge and it is working great at the moment.

 

These only feel barely warm to the touch plus with a fan blowing on the scrubber there will prob be absolutely no heat. I just finished up adding more tile to the office so the new tank will fit on my pad i am planning on moving it in first thing monday morning.

 

Setup and Finished!

I just finished setting up the new tank in my office took me prob 150 man hours with all the work that i did on it let me know what you guys think. In the process of making some diy rock so the tank should be full in a month or so heres what i have done so far.

They are 250w 14k sps bulbs and 2 actinic vhos

 

Very nice. I just happened to have installed a pair of those yesterday. So far, I am loving them.

 

what do you have your mangroves planted in?
