Hey so ive got one of Fishneedits.com 150W metal halide lights (it works fantastic). However it seems that my corals are a bit closed and they only open for about 6 hours while the light is on and then they close up. Is this too strong? the light is about 10 inches above the tank. Also is this too strong for my chaeto and other macros??

They need time to adapt to the higher light so, yes its too strong for now.

been on the tank for at least a week. its on a 20 high right now, i will be upgrading to a 40 breeder at least soon so the light shuold sort of have more room to pan out and dissapate soon.

I would put all the corals on the bottom of the tank and may to the outer edge since you have low light corals. .
