It is a dry heat, yeah right !
What are you planning on keeping coral wise?

Can you adjust the height of the fixture?

Two possible problems. And they can be fixed the same way.

    1. It's gonna heat your water up.

    2. Probably too bright.

    Solution?

Raise the light higher up off the tank. This will probably cause light to spill over all sides of the tank, however.

Won't know till you try it, but this is probably what's going to happen.IMO

It is possible, your probably going to have alot of heat issues though..You will most likely need a small chiller or something, or add a 30g sump or 20L sump that will help with heat.

Raise your fixture fairly high and then getsome fans to blow across the water..Your going to have tons of evaporation though.

Yes I have the mini chiller that uses the hob. Another question I work at a stainlesssteel shop and we carry oonly 304 stainless wif I make my own fuge or bracket and it goes into the water will there be any infections like what copper does? I'm saving a green bta atm lfs had bad lighting and doing my best to recover her zoo. But I have a candy cane, flower pot, hammer, ric, and a unkown coral. Ill post my tank with what I have now. I'm only running 2 24w t5 bulbs that isn't enough to regainerate the btas zoo. I'm planning on getting a bigger tank soon I hope within 2 months

I googled photo inhabitition and I don't get it. I know it'll cayse major aglea blooms and possibly killplants?

I looked around regarding the topic of using stainless steel as brackets only. What I was able to determine is that if use high grade that does not oxide easily and it is not in direct contact with the tank water, oil free you should be fine. I know I use some stainless steel tools or tongs every once in while in my tank without issue.

Bump for those with experience with stainless steel and it's use with SW tanks. If you do not get the answer that sufficiently or directly address the question, I would start another thread addressing the topic within the thread title.

I am pretty sure some people use stainless steel razors to clean tanks. But im not sure long term in a reef tank.
