Not too bad.. The built in timer wouldn't work for me though. One of the final steps of my build is a controller, in which I want total control of my lighting.. Let us now how it works out..

That skimmer reminds me of a Fluvel canister filter on steroids.. lol.. That's what you want to see... Did you install the platform yet?

Dude, that tank has next to zero bioload for that skimmer to pull anything yet.
I'd probably not even turn the skimmer on until a couple more months - once you've got a few more fish stocked in there to give that skimmer something to do. Looking good though, gonna get any more rock to hide the PVC in the back? I like the DIY skimmer stand-good ingenuity.

I bought a background film today. I didn't want to put it on until I knew I was done with the plimbing to assure of no leaks. What a difference it made!

Here is the tank now. The film actually matches the walls!

Well, now I couldn't help myself today. When I got to the LFS to get some background film, I saw these two and just had to have them. They were healthy and pickin at food in the tank, and breathing good. A Manderin Goby! I love this little guy!!!

and yes I have copeopods for him to eat. put a bunch in the fuge, and in the DT.

    And Clown Sweetlips!!

Here is the cleaner shrimp already checking out the Goby. Sorry its a little blurry.

But here is the killer part. Since I got the three clowns yesterday, they have been swimming only on that one corner. They did swim around to check it out, but keep hangin by that same corner. I woke up this morning and found them still there!
So, I am trying to figure out why they won't leave that one corner. It was when I went to move the bucket next to the corner when I realized that it was the reason cuz they were following it wherever I moved it! Its an orange Depot bucket!! I think that they think, since it is the same color as them, that it is a big clown too!! It is so funny watching these guys follow the bucket!!! Like using a laser pointer on the floor with a cat or a dog!! See :

If you look at the tank picture above, they are there too!!! Is that too funny?...

Might want to keep a steady supply of copepods for the mandarin for a bit, it will diminish the population very quickly.

Already put them in the fuge and in the DT, have a spare back up bottle I am gonna throw in tomorrow. The clown sweetlips keeps peckin at the rock, I think he likes them too. I'll have to make sure I get more.
