coast to coast overflow blacked out on a free floating wall using 1/2" black acrylic inside of an aquarium with 1/2" low iron glass. all main joints are glass with a 3/4" tempered bottom ( safety factor 4.6 very safe industry standard much lower ) . reef is 60x30x22 tank is 60x36x23.

1-refugium then sump, 1- sump/skimmer, 1- algae scrubber then sump. the tank will have 3-1.5" drains ( one fuge, two sump ), 2-1" inputs from 2 main pumps (650 gph each ), 2 pumps ( 1500 gph each )-1.5" closed loop drains w/ 1" returns in line w/ 2 chillers, 2-tunze 6200 turbines.

fuge will also have an algae scrubber. 2-4 stage aquamedic dosing pumps with liquid elements and phyto in sump. 2x2 steel frame for stand. lumen brights that i was able to put a fan on and two bulbs inside of each reflector. 400w 20k and 250w 14k, 20k instead of actinic or t5, the 14k will only go on for a couple hours mid cycle. reef-relief automatic top off with 2- 5 stage ro/di units.

and im still waiting on the 36x60 molding from the manufacturer.

Are you drilling the tank yourself?

yes and no, i will bring in a pro to help with the build and together we will put it together. all the holes are far enough away from each other and the edges to keep the structural integrity of the glass with minimal stress under a load. low iron glass has the same tensile strength as regular glass. there will be a 1-1.5 mm gap between the panes glass with a 1/16" gap between the acrylic overflow and panes of glass.

So when you say "pro", what is that exactly? Someone who works with glass as their profession?
