@amcarrig/tangster - I feel your pain about byropis. That stuff is tenacious. I got in my last tank and it went through serious waves of infestation. I think there is a picture on the site somewhere of a pic I took of a single byropis that was the size of a golf ball. I think the only thing I noticed that worked a little bit was keeping the alk up. Has anything put a dent in it for you? (sorry If I am repeating myself - I recall we talked about this a bit in an old thread.)

We've been keeping our mag, alk and ph up high and nothing seems to be working. I'm planning on hand picking out some of the longer stuff again today...sigh. It wouldn't be so bad if our sps corals weren't rtn-ing as a result of coming into contact with this crap.

Aye. Have you tried a Green Emerald crab?
He kinda worked for me - I saw him get some - but it wasn't his first choice.

We've got about 3-4 emerald crabs that have been in the system for quite a while but they don't touch it. We've also added a few urchins and might add some lettuce nudibranchs just to see if they'll do any good, assuming they don't get sucked through our system.

The urchins could do it. Mine was pretty indiscriminate. Good luck!

Matt I run the DKH at 16 ppm as a rule anyways and ca at 550 or so and mag I try to keep around 1500 ppm.. I been hitting the P.H with washing soda and holding it at 8.9 high and 8.7 low for weeks at a time.Ozone animals the skimmer is churning out stuff like crazy temps high or low moving more water then ever a Dolphin amp master 4000 just for internal circulation and a Dolphin about 9700 for the main pump.. I'm so close to just nuking the whole system.. I really don't want to risk removing or using anything in there now rock water or animals. and hate to give them away and set loose the pestilence on someone else's system. I'm going to deal with it for a few more weeks and after the first of the yr somthing is going to be gone..either algae ot tank ??

Well, since the bryopsis has pretty much made the entire tank look like crap, I only shot a few macro pics of fish and corals. I have yet to master the art of photographing fast moving fish but I suppose practice will make perfect :)
