Roger says to throw out the instruction manual for any reactor on the market and set it at 30-33 bubbles a minute and 1 to 1.5 liters of effluent an hour. Works for any size tank :D

It will work for anyone who tries it, In the last yr I have had at least 10 guys from here to apply this method and it got them either dead balls right on or so close a simple adjustment of a few bubbles + or - to completely dial them in and the reactor brands ran from Aquatic systems , AquaC RX , a deltec Korallins several I can't even recall .

When I went to work for the Coral propagation place they had several brands also none where correctly dialed in . It took me a month to get all 6 of them and all different brands to dial in. Boss was buying a different brands monthly to find one that would work as advertised LOL per instructions .

I removed every PH controller he had all but one he had to keep it made him feel better ): set the bubbles and effluent as mentioned above and in a month all systems where level . I got hurt and still can not return now 2 yrs last month the newer guys reading instructions and Internet information lost control and simply removed them all and went to hand dosing . People simply do not under the simplicity behind a reactor workings and what they really are .

Like with any reactor media from Carbon to Iron oxide they will all reach totally saturation and become stabilized if its done slowly and not trying to rush them. Guys want to add them test the waters the next day and adjust them and then end up yoyo'ing all over the place..

This Little Knop C series has ran on 350 , 200 and a 180 all sps tanks and this 90 is just smaller , I used the same media and bubble count and effluent rates on them all and no Ph. controller's .

I test monthly and all I test is the DKH and Ca and Magnesium last Monday my DKH was lower from 13 or so to 10 Ca was at 455 mag was at 1450 I simply turned up the second stage pressure regulator knob from 4 PSI to 5 PSI bubbles went up from 29 per min to 33 per min..

I'm starting to cut corals now sent out 4 Monti's with a here boggie a friend from here who stopped by last week sent 2 across and a monti home with another guy 2 weeks ago and have more purple rimmed green montis now to go to Boggie and I cut off a 2" blue /Purple Milli this morn. and noting in there was much larger then a 50'ct piece in April when I set it up . Give me another 7 months with it as the really pretty acro stuff grows rather slow then the O.K stuff does it seems :)

I never tweak or mess with the tank I in fact hate to put my hands in one . I never change or rearrange anything in there once I start them up it is the major problem most have is they can't leave well enough alone . Always messing with skimmers or reactors rocks sand ot worry tio much about light PAR values :)

But with your next reactor try this method you'll be surprised how simple they are to dial in..
