i guess everyone just sounds like a broken record to you now, but your tank is incredible! Its hard making a tank look as beautiful as yours when you can only add softies due to inadequate lighting, but your tank is definitely an inspiration!! I noticed in your 180g you had some harlequin shrimp? I recently acquired one as a hitch hiker! I know they only eat starfish but how often did you feed them and did you get another one in your 90g/did the originals survive the algae invasion?

Thanks for the compliments everyone. The harlequins didn't make it I'm afraid. I used to feed them a chocolate chip starfish about once a month. We have no plans to add any more to this tank.

aww sorry to hear they are such cool looking shrimp and you got some great photos of them!! did you break off a leg of the starfish to feed them and give them that or did you just let them eat it during the whole month? My only issue is letting the starfish decompose in the tank until it finally gets the whole thing eaten... not trying to hijack or anything, not that anyone could be distracted from such an amazing tank!

I just put the entire starfish in and let them eat it at their leisure. The starfish remains alive while they eat it so rotting was never a concern for us.

We just keep our calcium, all and mag steady. That's the best way to grow corraline.
