I currently have a 120G that is doing very well, BUT I really would like to have a 6ft tank because of my tangs. I am currently looking at the 180 or 210 size.

I know the only difference is the 5" at the top, but many people say that this makes it a pain to clean. HOWEVER, I am 6'3" tall and have some long arms, and right now I can reach the bottom of my 120 pretty easily, but the extra 5" will make it so I can't reach the bottom.

Any 180/210 owners want to chime in?!

For a reef? You may be able to reach the bottom of a 210, but will you be able to see what you're doing? Depends on the stand height also.

5" can be alot of extra depth for t5 to penetrate. What lighting were u thinking?

it will be for a reef. I really didnt think about stand height also.

My uncle just built his 210 with 6 5ft T5bulbs (ATI) and his tank is thriving and the color is really well, WAY better than the 250w MH i have on my 120 right now. I may go T5

    I have a 150 tall. Basically a 200 but 6 inches shorter front to back. 72 x 18 x 27

I must say that it is very difficult to reach the bottom even in the front, impossible in the rear of the tank. I end up using tongs to reach the back of the tank. If you have a low light fixture... makes it even harder.

Would I do it again.... hell yes. There is something to be said for the deeper dimensions that the shorter tanks just can't match.
