 I though I might post the running tally of starting up my 90 gal reef. I know that some of this list may be gotten a few dollars less, or some equipment could be scaled back. I do however like to support the 3reef sponsors versus shopping for the "best" price. Anyway, here is my beginnig tally (to be updated with LR, LS, fish of course, etc...):

$495- 90 gallon tank with stand and canopy
$160- built-in overflow, drilling, and delivery
    $20- overflow acrylic cover
    $575- lighting assembly with shipping
    $340- AquaC EV-180 skimmer
    $42- maxjet powerheads
    $118- Mag7 pumps
    $90- 150W heaters
    $40-Durso and plumbing

So the grand total so far without adding a drop of water is $1880 and counting

I will be adding a sump/fuge, and need to by the miscellany. Plumbing need to be finished, gate valves etc... salt need to be purchased, LR/LS needs to be purchased!

Then I can start spending some money on the fish, which is of course what this is all about..........

Forgot the camera....although that was purchase for the new baby 2 years ago.

Sony 707 Digital 5 Megapixel (with exception macro capability)

That was $900 although you can probably buy it for a song and dance nowadays!!!

I will certainly post some pics as I move along from unpacking to setup to cycle......

    Thanks!

I can see what everyone means about "adding up fast".....it never adds up slow does it !!?! :'( ;)

CALCIUM REACTOR!!!???!! I haven't even thought about some of that stuff....the DIY page will be getting more view by me!

I figure I am about half to two thirds the way there like Hottie said....there is no turning back now! That would leave me with a very expensive terrarium.

Perhaps then I could have land hermit crabs ;) ;D
