This will be going on until early afternoon Tomorrow as well.

I swear everything will be in the tank by 4pm tomorrow. I won't have the calcium reactor online as I need to replace a couple plastic screws. Don't ask. Nothing bad, and really an easy fix, but my impeccable timing caused this as well.

If I stay up all night doing this, I might fall asleep at 6 Tomorrow. LOL

I won't do that, and besides, my flawless execution and careful planning has me needing to hit HD again as I did not buy enough parts. HD is closed now, go figure;)

I will put another hour in, then get some sleep, and I think my friend Jerry is going to come over early and help me knock this out, at least good enough for now.

Very wise choice. You will be glad you done that in the future during maintenance.
Not sure how long this piece are but they will restrict a lot of flow. Guess it really matters how much water you are going to move through your sump. I had to cut mine out and put eggcrate to keep any water restrictions at minimum. Plus this was after I already had the tank in the wall and it made a mess cutting the acrylic in there. Just one of those lesson learned things.

One other thing... if you still have time too I would take the sump and rise it at least 4" to 6" off the ground so if there is ever water on the floor, you can get it dried up with a fan instead of letting it just sit and mold. If I ever do mine again (which I might, and use the knowledge I have learned first hand) I would not have a sump sit on the floor. You will get water behind it believe me....I have. :-/

First chance I have had to look over your build and it looks like you will have many years of enjoyment out of your tank. Welcome to the big tank club.....lol Hope you have engineered a good ventilation system for heat and humidity because you are going to have a lot of both. That is one thing I overlooked during build and I still struggle with it today.

I'm glad you stumbled across my build thread Otty:)

Those overflows are 10 inches long each of exposed weir. I am only running a 780 gph QO3000 for a return with only about 3 feet of head. I use the same pump on my 90g that has the AGA RR rated at 600 gph. I doubt I will have an issue with these restricting, but I do own a dremel:) I am not a fan of having a ton of flow through the sump.
I am transferring all the rocks and coral over from my 90g Tomorrow, so I will see how the returns perform. Right now I have the tank 3/4 full, and I have a few big pieces of LR and a couple softy corals with some snails and hermits in there. All seems to be going well.

The 75g sump is on a 2x4 "base" and not directly on the concrete. I do want to take out the carpet in the fish room , and put in that inerlocking anti fatigue rubber "tiling". As for venitiation, I can easily add that later, the ceiling is unfinished, just painted. I will see how it goes first.

I spent a ton of time researching the building process of a woody, and even threw my own designs into it with the all in one eurobrace/ top piece and built in overflow box.

    thanks for the compliment:)

I worked on transferring the tank from 10pm last night until 6 in the morning. Aqauscaping is close to looking right for me. I just need to get my radiant wrasse out of the sand of my old 90g. Of course I have a heater and PH on the 90, so hopefully he comes out and I can catch him and get him in my 200g tank.

    Pics later;)

Your 90 is your sump now, right?

Because if it wasn't, I was going to suggest to drain it down to all but 2" of water--you'll get him out then! But you probably already know this. . . .:-/

it's not his sump, so actually, that's a pretty brilliant idea. tom told me about when he first got that fish and he spent an inordinate amount of time sifting sand that time as well.

yep, not my sump, that is a 75g.

It is a pain any way you slice it with sand sifting for my wrasse. But hopefully I will have good news later tonight.

Pics.... some of the filling process. and some of how it is now.
