dude, i got chills. i cant wait to see that beast in the "daylight". from what i can tell of the aquascaping, it's looking really good. how much more rock did you add from what was in the 90?

    Good news , bad news...

The good news is that I finally caught the radiant wrasse! I had to take all the sand out of the old 90g to get him, but it was well worth it.

The bad news is that after I caught him and filled the bucket with a bit of tank water, I ran upstairs to tell Danielle. When I came down, I left the hose in the sump and a couple gallons of SW ended up on the floor. oh well.

The wrasse is in the big tank now hiding in the sand presumably, and I got a nice mis bar ocellaris clown to go with my other ocellaris today. I will put it in after the t5s shut off.

The halides will go on, makeshift style, tomorrow. I want to get electronic ballasts and better reflectors for my xm250 10k's, but that will have to wait for a little bit.

I added all the LR from the 90g, which was too much for a 90, and all the rest to my tank.

You saw how much I have, quite a bit. I am guessing 300 lbs easy total. That rock on the top right, which I call Gibraltar, has to weigh 25-30 lbs by itself. that was in the sump of the 90

    Thanks guys!

It was a lot of hard work, but it was totally worth doing. It is what I call a "real" tank build thread. ;)

Once I get the halides on I will snap some more pics.

Yeah, I have had several kinds of Spaten, even Oktoberfest while in Germany. I have had that beer many times since then in the states as well.

I am very proud of my DIY woody tank.
