My tank has a little cyano problem ATM.

I know I need a little more flow, but I guess this is the calling card for a couple MJ mods with sure grip 100 magnets.

i got one of the Algae Free SureFlow from MD a few weeks ago. it's like the best thing ever. i've got the little prop running on a 1200 blasting the front of my glass. turbulent would be an understatement...

I am beating the cyano. I think it was simply a new tank issue, and that is all. I did add more flow, as a temporary solution, but where the cyano is forming, it is in odd spots. Like inert things such as my frag rack. Odd, but it looks like I am winning, with no red slime remover either.

    Thanks for the compliments.

I see you are in WI, so you can probably actually see the tank in person some time.

tank was right around 400 dollars total, and the stand was well under 100 dollars.

I definitely learned quite a bit by making this tank, but I researched the heck out of woody tanks before I ever started attempting to build mine.

I will gladly give you any advice/ pointers regarding the woody tank build.

thats cool cause i'm just getting into saltwater, fresh water was just getting a little boring. its nice to know theres other people in the area that also keep saltwater tanks.
