Welcome and ask away, it will save ya cash!

Most people seem to like the reeef octopus skimmers! I had good luck with my coralife super skimmer!

Yeah 1 pound of rock per gallon sounds about right!

i'd get mostly dry rock and sand, and get just a little live rock or sand to seed the tank with! That'll save ya some cash!

Do you know what your plans for the tank are yet? If you're gonna do corals, i'd start saving for a decent lighting system!

welcome! oh buy a 2 decent heaters and 2 thermometers!;)

    First off welcome.

there is no set equation where x amount of rock will be good for your tank. 1 lb/gallon seems to be a guideline but every tank has its needs.

Glass holes obviously you know requires a hole to be drilled... is your tank non tempered? cuz that will end your tank very quick. I have the 700gph on my 75 (cant speak about performance as its dry in my garage.) But im sure for your tank that would be fine

skimmers are becoming more vast, just go on aquacave and find one that you like, there's so many. your gonna get like 10000 diff answers on skimmers. just get a well known brand and make sure the pump is decent. for someone whos been "lurking" for a yr im sure youve come across threads asking that same ?... just research bro.

    -reef octopus
    -eshopps
    -bubble magus
    -coralife

    just to name a few.

Yea I was looking at more things for a 120 but I just couldn't get that tank so I'm getting a the 60 gal tank (something me and the wife agreed on) What about a sump size I was looking at doin a 30 gal n making it my self to fit the skimmer in right. More info on a return pump to go with the overflow box that I plan on using I think I will be using the one you guys said will work fine

And again thanks for the help sorry if I'm being a pain just never did a sump before so I'm making sure I do it right the 1st time
