I have never ordered fish or anything living for that matter online before, i've always gone to the LFS to get stuff. i am picking some stuff up at the airport and want to know how you would acclimate them and if they'd go into QT or or DT. I am getting a lettuce nudibranch, sally lightfoot crab, and a percula clown. also some macro algae... would all of these need to be QT'd?

just wanted to ask a few questions before i have them right infront of me.

    thanks

QT is always good. Acclimate them per the instructions sent with them so as not to void any guarantee.

You can get hitchhikers if you don't QT. You can kill off algae if your light isn't right on the QT. You really need to weigh it for yourself when it comes to macros and inverts.

I've always been one to get right after it and dump them in. I'd float the crab and fish for a few depending on the amount of water they were shipped with. I would spend extra time on the nudi depending on the size of it. The overall look of health, or lack thereof, will also give an idea to acclimation time. I've done this in stores I've managed/worked at and in the home aquarium.

is this nudibranch the type that if it were to dye off in my tank would it poision the water? I was asking about the crab because i didn't think there would be any need for it to go into QT because i know what it is i am buying and i didn't think they could bring anything into the DT with them in terms of bacteria and parasites....ect.

I don't have a light over the QT. I am unsure of the reason you would QT macro algae? is there something that could come in on it that i'd want to watch out for? i got some cheato and red gracillia if it makes any difference.

They can have aiptasia and nudibranchs that you don't want.
What type of nudi did you get? Sea slugs and sea hares can be problems when they die.

its a lettuce nudibranch or Elysia diomedea if you go by scientific name. i know other nudi's can cause alot of problems similar to an anemone wasting away. Just curious if this one in paticular is like that, or if it is even poisionous?? I am under the asumption the pest nudi's would be poisonus cause they eat stuff like zoa's but the lettuce eats just algae so i am guessing its ok, and hopefully for me it likes hair algae.

I think they are less of a problem than most. The pest nudis are usually small and not a lot of a problem when they die.
