I would go with the Maristar. A great fixture, great reflectors and great quality. The Ice cap fixture, I believe it has been discontinued (?) is nice, but it's really heavy b/c the ballasts are internal. All the accounts I've read as said that it requires at least two men to install. I was seriously considering a Maristar, but went with two SLS pendants instead for other reasons. It only has 2 T5s, but that's really all you need.

IceCap Reef Illuminations HQI, T5 + 2 Tubular LED Moonlights (470NM Actinic) Fixture

This is the one I have. No problems what so ever with it. I cant speak to others except for the current outer orbits and in my opinion they are junk (at least the 2 I had) It is heavy but I can take it on and off by myself if needed....But i am a big guy. Dont know anything about the maristar but have heard they are good lights. I dont think you could go wrong with either one. I have a 120 gal tank and the 250 Watt is a good choice for the tank.

Most major vendors have the same prices. Some have kits that provide bulbs and ballasts too, but I like to pick my own components. I bought my system from Aquarium Specialty. I also recommend galaxy ballasts, they run extremely cool and are very efficient.

I have been running the stock bulbs. I ordered some pheonix 14k to about 3 days ago to replace the MH so I will let you know how they look when they come in.

i don't like the enclosed metal halide combos because it seems that the metal halides get so hot inside the bulb constantly shuts it self on and off i had those for my 55 gal and they kept having problems like sometimes i had to keep turning it on//off to get the ballasts to light the metal halides i had the problems about 8 months after i bought them but truthfully that setup grow anything ;D I'm gonna get the HQI 29 bio cube should be sick GL
