2-3 days lights off in tank?

Did anybody try this method on getting rid of cyano or other algaes?

It will work to a certain extent. Unless you change your husbandry practices algae will come back. And lights out may or may not work for cyano, as it can live without light (cyano is not actually an algae).

i agree with pack thou, if you dont change anything it will come back, i havent had to do this since i started up a while back but i changed some stuff up turned the lights off for 3 days and it work and never came back BC of the changes i made

 

changes...what do you mean changes? I dont understand. What change do i need to do before the lights off process?

 

You need to find out why you having this our break and make the correct steps to change whats wrong
