i am planning on getting some new fish today for my aquarium but the problem is the only fish i have in there right now is known to be aggressive to new tank mates. i was thinking that adding 2 fish at the same time might confuse him and he would not be able to decide witch one to bully. first of all, would that work? and second, would it be to much strain on my tank to add 2 fish at one time? my tank is small it is only 29 gallons, but i have been checking and the ammonia nitrates and nitrites are all safe. i also plan on doing a water change before i get them today just to be sure there is no problems with my water.

It should be fine, what type of fish do you have in the tank now? If its a damsel, he may pick at them a bit, but honestly, clowns are probably one of the most dominate fish in the ocean IMO. Nothing will really mess with them long.

It would be good to know what fish you do have and what size. And adding 2 clowns is usually okay, and really preferred IMO. They usually arent too big, and can't add to much to the load. I would be prepared to do a water change a day or 2 after adding them. and just keep an eye on all your parameters.
