I have a Flame Angel and would really like to add some yellow to the tank. I would love to add a bicolor angel. How do you think they would get along?

Most likely will be tough since they were not introduced together.

I am thinking the flame will bother the second angel you put in there especially if they look similar.

I would love some recommendations. Seems like I have too much orange...lol. I love to add a vibrant yellow, purple, or blue fish.

The Flame will likely try to run the Bi color off. However, get yourself some egg crate. Divide your tank down with the egg crate so the flame is on one side and the bi color is on the other. Let them get to know eachother through this egg crate for a couple weeks. Then remove it. It might work. Ive had good luck with this. BUT it is not 100 percent for sure. I once introduced a Lemon Peel and it whipped my Majestic (twice as big) so bad I had to remove the Lemon Peel.

I wouldn't get another angel... to many possibilities for aggression....

I noticed you don't have any wrasses... how about a yellow coris wrasse? ;D

they can get as big (long) as a dwarf angel...

That is a great looking fish. Liveaquaria has it listed as "fish only", but it seams people have kept them in reef tanks without issue. Any opinions on this?

I agree with those in the dont try it column. There is no reason to subject either fish to any stress, or injuries with so many other choices of yellow fish. Remember ich can be stress induced, and who wants ich? Plus alot of LFS dont accept returns or returns with markdowns especially if then find out its being returned because of injury or hostility.

That yellow wrasse is part of the Halichoeres genus like hoevens, vrolik, chrstmass & a few others. I have kept several and love them they are friendly active fish that have a habit of getting the more docile fish out into the water column. The only un reef safe habit I thikn I have ever seen or read about from them is they like to pick at snails that self over 7 cant right themselves. They dont do the flipping, just part take of the snack nature provided.

That are reef safe, check on here or google.

The thing to be concerned with on Halichoeres is that they are jumpers so if running an open top a net cover is highly recommended.
