sorry just seems a little overkill, if you want to attach a display tank just go right ahead, i had both of my 40's connected so they have the stability of an 80 gallon but yet are.... 40 gallons!

First off, Have you ever had one? You seem to know a lot about it.

second, what makes you being 5 years older than him at all relevant?

    1.0 reef:
I have had a neon goby for over a year now and i recently put him in my new 29g tank. He eats everything and anything I have fed over the years. I've seen him eat brine and mysis shrimp 2X bigger than his mouth. They will eat. They aren't hard to care for, not any harder than any other fish.

The problem with a 2.5 gallon tank is trying to keep it stable. With such a small amount of water, the parameters like temperature, pH, salinity, and etc will fluctuate a lot easier. Not a good thing. I would suggest trying to get a bit bigger of a tank. that will make things much easier for you. The bigger the better, within reason on the amount of money you can spend.

    Good Luck,
    Mike

ia ctually have kept one, there is no need for you to bring up a post from near the beginning of the thread that business is done and taken care of. also im sure you do have a neon goby eating anything but that doesnt change anything. yours is the exception to the rule.

Sorry both of you but their is NO RULE that is steadfast with fish or inverts. Some reef safe fish nip at coral, happened with a goby once...I think feasably this tank could do coral and maybe 1 OR 2 panda gobies or 1 clown goby. With LR you will only have about 3 gallons, as stated before, we have told you that it is too small to hold many fish.
