    would it be okay to have an engineer goby and a shrimp goby in the same tank if I mixed up the engineers burrows right before adding the shrimp

    That might be asking for trouble because engineers get so big. Don't have any experience but from what I have read this sounds like it could be trouble. Hopefully a goby person will chime in.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Engineer gobies are not actually gobies. Completely different family. In a tank that large you should have no problems.

    how many gobies can I have...
    I have 1 orange spotted goby residing in my 83 gallon main display....
    I'm thinking of getting a few more...how many gobys am I allowed
