    Hello everybody.

I just got 2 Koralias 750 for my 30 gallon new tank, they are bigger than what I spectated , and when I put them in the tank they created a LOT of flow and lots of specs are floating around ... My tank is currently in cycle mode and i have nothing but rocks and sand in there, Im afraid that 1500 gph would be too much flow for my tank, what do you guys think ???

I have the same set on my 55g and is just about right! prob a bit of overkill for yours! I'd get the smaller ones if ya can send these back, if not play around woth them, you can prob find a soltuion that will work! Try putting them in the rear corners and face them towards the middle front! Should diffuse them a bit that way!

I would say thats about right. Im looking for even more flow than that in my 30 gallon. Natural reefs have an insane amount of flow, our tanks should replicate that. You should keep the powerheads you have in my opinion.

I had a 750 in my BioCube and my sand was blowing around all the time. I ended up upgrading to a MP10.

When I gave up on my 750 I had a 425 and a 250 in the back pointing at each other, it made a small wave effect and everyone was pretty happy.

certain corals need low/moderate flow, can you get those "low flow" areas with that much water movement in that small of a tank?

I had a 750 in my biocube 29 and it was waayyyyyy to much. But depending on what kind of sand you have and how you position them you should be good.

What you could do is place them on separate timers and have em alternate on and off. I've got the same two power heads you've got but it's for my 55. With them both on it was quite turbulent and everything seemed unhappy. When I started the alternate pattern it all settled down. Though for a 30g that seems a bit much. Two of the 550's alternating flow on timers would do the trick for that size.
