    I'm putting all my pennies into this LED build. I can't afford the pump at the moment and have been watching the two part get sucked away.

    The mixer was meant to help control pH and stretch the 2 part out a bit.

    +1 on the back siphon issue. The valve sucks and constantly back flows...not happy with the factory suggested set up.

    The simplest fix to this kalk stirrer is to add a cheap air line check valve into the tube just above the spray head used as the stirrer.

    I did this over a month ago by simply cutting out enough of the hard plastic tube to allow for the length of the check valve. I used standard air line pieces cut to 1/2" length to make the attachments.

    It has worked flawlessly for a long time with no clogs or back siphon. But hey, if the valve fails, they are sold at any wal-mart, $1.99 for a dual pack.

    Don't ask for pics cuz it's not that hard to figure out what i did.
