2 month cycle and still high

i have been cycling since feb 16 th and this is what i got

ammonia 0ppm
nitrite 0ppm
ph 7.8
nitrate 20+ppm
temp is around 79

btw 90 gallon with 2 k4's a mag 9 and a 30 gallon sump

 

the cycle is done. no ammonia or nitrite, no3 is climbing. time for a water change.

 

shouldnt the ph be at 8.2

 

ph shold be at 8.3 idealy How much LR do you have and any tank mates yet.

 

put some buffer in the water. the ph wont change its probably the saltmix.

 

well i just found out that i should have been replacing evaporated water with fresh water not salt. would that have an impact on ph? and i have 2 damsels

 

the buffer does help it increased mine from 7.8 and salinity is at 1.023

 

causes of low PH

edit: your done cycling disregard the last one im guessing it your alk

 

do you have LR or LS in your tank

 

what did the thread title mean? whats high? when did you test the ph? different times of day will give you diff results.
