    these algaes will help with nitrate reduction. but you also need to bring that ph up with a buffer or test for alk

    well i dont really think this is the type of forums to answer that question.
    midday. your ph drops at night and then rise back up in the day. i has to do with drop off of photosynthesis and increase in co2 i believe. which is why people run fuges on a reverse daylight cycle to reduce the change

    got it, should test PH during the midday. i just did a PH test now and it was at 8.0 so i added some buffer and the cloudiness just dissapeared. thats good right? i just dont understand why i am getting a 0 reading in amonia...tank is 4 weeks old. i did the shrimp thing over 2 weeks ago, then added 4 damsels but 2 died, 1 i cant find another is stuck to the filter...they said at the lfs to leave it in there so i did. since then i got 2 more damsels and have been fine with the 2 original. still dont know why i get 0 amonia.

    maybe you have 0 ammonia. ;Dlol
    a bunch of people people with clean lr dont have any ammonia after 2 weeks.
    when i first cycled my lr i didnt have ammonia after week.

    also from now on i would only add one fish at a time, i wouldnt add anymore fish for a month

    lol, should i just leave the tank alone for 2 more weeks? do you think the tank might be cycled? or not a chance...to early? i was thinking of adding a clown fish to see how he will do, not certain

    for the ph, just dissolve a pinch of buffer in your top off water. then you are adding just a small amt every day. this should keep things stable.
