I have two protein skimmers setup(A bigger one and smaller one, the smaller one is a protein skimmer/mechanical filter) and i'm wondering if thats okay ?
I have a 20 gallon tank, water conditions are perfect, but I don't want to
skim to much away from the water(not sure if thats bad or good)
    Any suggestions ?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Is the smaller one actually a surface skimmer?

Two devices (without knowing what brand or type) seem somewhat of an over kill on a 20 gallon.

I would let your corals be your guide as to whether the equipment set up suits your tank.

Larger tanks it's hard to over skim, a 20 gallon yes I do believe you could possible over skim.

If could list the brand or style of both skimmers that would be of assistance.

I'm new here but this question surfaced more than once over the last 20years (believe it or not)...
if memory serves me; I think it was observed that 2 weak skimmers are not anywhere as efficient as one good one....

...I also thought "they" figured out that the 2 skimmers won't work all that well in close proximity....

but don't quote me on any of it...at the slightest hint of me being wrong I'll pull the ole "plausible deniability" card :)

What if you set one up for wet skimming and the other for a more dry skim?
