i have a sebae anem and a nice little frogspawn in my 14g along with a pair of clowns. i know they may or may not host these things eventually but my question is, how damaging is it to the coral when the clowns start digging in it? i mean i would love to see them go in but i would like to avoid damaging these things.

also the tank has a purple psuedo who gets along with everyone almost. he has an issue with knocking snails and hermits off rocks (not picking at them afterwards, just being a complete jerk) and he also attacks the glass of the tank with a vengence. i mean he all out opens his mouth as wide as he can and just tries to swim full speed nose to the glass periodically. i know they hate similar fish so im wondering if he may be attacking some sort of reflection or something. he always attacks the same spot. is this normal behavior for him?

Depends on the coral. If its the frogspawn they may kill it, might not. All depends on how the coral takes to them.
How old is the tank and what lighting do you have?

I would worry. I would worry a lot with that sebae. Needs to go back ASAP in my opinion. Tank is not nearly mature enough, nor do you have even close to the lighting requirement. And if that thing goes in your tank, believe me it will take everything else with it.

funny that you say that, i was already planning on trading him to a friend of mine for a bubble tip or some coral perhaps. my main concern was actually the frog.

Never put any anemone in a tank that is not mature, not just cycled but mature.
I have kept a sebae anemone for 19 years now but it has always been in mature small systems with good lighting and circulation. Clowns really won't hurt anything they host, its a symbiotic relationship, they feed it in return for it protecting them.

I have 2 clowns that host my 5 head frogspawn. Had them in the tank for a couple months not knowing they would look twice at the frogspawn...which they wouldn't. I took a couple of pictures of clowns hosting frogspawns and taped it to the side of the tank. in 2 days both were hosting the frogspawn. now they swim through it all day and sleep very tight to it.
