2 quick questions

question one.... if you have no plants in your aquarium, does it matter if there is no iron?

question two... i picked up a bag of frozen mixed seafood from an asian market (squid, oysters, shrimp) i hand feed them to my bta and bubble anemone, but i have only fed the oysters once and the bta did not seem to care for it, should i try feeding it again, or just not bother?

question one....don't think you need iron and are you testing for it? FRESH OR SALT? I, in the 7 or so years of having my tank, have never tested for iron.....

a lot of peeps say don't feed your anemones, they get all they need from their clown and lights and filter feeding

I personally like to give my anemone a small chunk of raw table shrimp every now and then.


I think oysters are more filter feeders than real meat eaters....not real sure though. I'm sure someone will chime in soon...hang in there!

 

dont know about the first q, but anemone wise i dont feed my carpet all the time, he gets it from the clowns, and i really dont want him to get too big too fast, right now i ahve been trying to feed him a peice of raw uncooked peice of shrimp like once a week or so just because i want him to color up since he is bleached.

but if you MUST feed them, i guess i would recomend a silver side.

 

i was testing for iron because i set up a fuge (did not last long) and was seeing if the live stuff in it was getting enough iron... as for the anemone i am feeding it because he is bleached as well, and he moved to the other side of the tank and my nemos dont go over there
