I actually just went on ecotechmarine.com and checked out their vortech flow calculator and according to them I would only need 1 mp40 in my 75, and here I thought I would need two...I know what I'm getting for my birthday :p

I have two MP40s on my 75 and have them turned well down, no more than 4 LEDs on, in sync mode plus my return which is about 250 gph. My SPS are doing great at this level.

You could get away with 2 MP10s with your return flow.

Two smaller is better than one large because when they are working together synced wirelessly, they make some awesome currents.

    I'd say do MP40 + MP10. Or at least two MP10s.

While two MP10s will def do it, the velocity of water is rather large. I think MP40 at lower setting will move more water at lower velocity, which is better.

Dude you are doing great. Not overkill!!

Recommended flow turnover is as follows:
    Soft: 10x -25x flow turnover
    LPS: 50x flow turnover
    SPS: 70x - 100x flow turnover
