    So do you think mud would be soft enough for them or should I go with sand?

    Unfortunately, I have no experience with any substrate other than my prop tank. Other than the prop tank, all my tanks are bare bottom.

    i would say sand although ive never had experience with mud but still id say try

    I think Ill order the mud for the in tank fuge and see what it looks like. I dont think Ill like the look of a mud bottom aquarium anyway.

    Update: The tank is set up and Im mixing the salt in. Taking it slow cuz I dont have any of the other stuff I need ordered yet. Got a temp heater and power head in there for now but I gotta get better ones for this tank.

    do you know where i can get mangrove roots beacause i was reading about them and i wanted to give it a try

    Not very exciting yet but heres a pic of the tank anyway. I put a couple of rocks from my reef tank in there to get things going a bit. Hopefully when I get the rock for this tank it wont be as bad of a cycle.

    Pretty low to medium. I put a standard power head in there for now. When I get me in tank fuge it comes with a fairly small powerhead for flow Ill use that if it feels right.

    i have a fuge set up with 250 gph and it doesnt bother them any
