    Hi Everyone

I currently have a 20 long with two Ocellaris Clownfish. I plan on putting a goby of sorts in there once the tank is a little more established. Is it possible to put a blue/green chromis or two in there(looking for small friendly fish)? My gut feeling is that the tank will be too crowded.

    Thanks!

ime, anymore than one blue/green chromis in a smaller tank becomes one - I might suggest looking at some wrasses possibly? There are also nano gobies that are pretty small - I would keep to about 4-5 fish tops (with some being small)

Do you recommend any reef safe wrasses that aren't aggressive? I'll top it off at 4 and just get one additional fish on top of the clowns and future goby. I do have a 20 high sump running with some macro algae and LR so the system should be able to handle it, just don't want to overcrowd the DT.

Go with your two clowns, a future goby and a purple firefish IMO

Hmm, purple firefish are really nice, that's definitely a new option. They are jumpers though, right?

Yes they will jump. Easy DIY fix to that tho.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
All fish are jumpers. I am still smarting after losing my male clown from jumping.

Wrasse, Dartfish (firefish), Jawfish are probably more likely to jump but all have the potential to, even Lionfish.

wrasses are jumpers too :( but as civic said, there's an easy fix for it! there's a member here by the name of evolved that has a whole thread on reef safe wrasses you can search it.

Thanks for all your input! If anyone thinks of a different 4th fish, let me know :)

Purple firefish are awesome! I say that cause I have one lol No problems with it being a jumper yet but I do have the tank covered so he/she doesn't go "carpet surfing" lol I would look into the thread that OFK mention on Reef Safe Wrasses by Evolved on here. I think you can find one you like. As I had just mentioned to another member in a different thread I recommended a pink streaked wrasse. Not aggressive in any sort of way and are perfect for nano tanks. I will getting one of those once my HT tank is cleared out and my fallow period is over. I feel kind of redundant recommending a fish I don't even have on multiple threads but I have just read up on them quite a bit and have read a lot of feedback on them. I have a good gut feeling about getting one and they are a really good alternative to the six line wrasse.
