    i have an extra 20 gallon lying around.
    if you guys had an extra 20 gallon tank, what kind of equipment and livestock would you get.

    depends on the lighting I have laying around haha, if we are going fish only I'd probably have to go with anthias, if we had had ample lighting I'd make a sweet reef, which I'm currently doing with a ten. :)

    no its a standard 20 gallon
    i want a fowlr tank but dont know what kind of equipment and livestock i want

    The only equipment I would buy is an HOB overflow and return pump, so I could run it into my set-up and stable current system.

    well i have a 60 gallon still cycling and a 5 gallon reef.
    i have a 2x24watt ho current nova

    Make a sump for your 5 gallon. It would be way more stable. Iv been wanting to do one like that for awhile now.

    My bro has a 20 reg and he has a nice little light on it I think its a oddysea with lunars.. not very expensive, a biochem??? hob filter rated for a 50gl... and about 40 lbs of live rock... theres a couple corals and a rock that just popped out of nowhere with a thousnad little polyp corals... its a very nice setup... he has a 6 inch snowflake moray, a maroon clown and a sixline wrasse.... but equipment wise thats pretty much all you would need....
