A little back info. I used to run freshwater for 5 years. Was breeding angelfish and just got tired of it so got a 55 gallon complete setup for free just about. Had it up and running for about 2 months. In that time I had a couple shrimp, hermits, snails and a clown in it. Also had some corals. Deal of a lifetime came along for the 210. Took the dive and got it.

This is a super major upgrade and it is going very slow. I've had it up and running around a month. Still need to get lights for it and more rock. Will get there eventually lol.

Enough of my blabbing here are some pics.

    Nice start so far!,

I didn't know they made 210's like that. I'd always seen taller/deeper ones.

Sump looks great, kinda small but will probably work well.

    ,

Oh, and BTW, are you going to paint the back wall of the DT?

May I also suggest some GFCI adapters for the power strips?

When reading your post I was thinking that you had nothing started but you gotnthingsngoing looks really good

    I have some questions

How many lb of live rock do you have and what lights did you go with

I see you have aptasa in your tank so we need to start looking on how to get rid of that soon

@Todd Sails it's a 7ft oceanic. They don't make them anymore unless you get them custom built I guess. The thing is a beast lol. The way the sump is set up is almost perfect, but I put the baffle on the drain side to close so I'm limited on what protein skimmer I can use. Doesn't help the stand is stupid short. As far as the electrical I plan on moving it to the empty corner by the tank. And I think I'm going with like a speaker type cloth to cover the back. Can't move the tank.

@Cam Thank you. I plan on getting a bunch more rock and completely covering the back of the tank with rock.

@dellyjoe I have no idea how much rock is in there. I got rock from 2 120 gallons and a 125 gallon and I still need/want more rock. As for the aptaisa I have peppermint shrimp but they have gone lazy so I'm waiting for my LFS to get in a copperbanded butterfly to try that out. For lights I only have a T5HO 4 bulb over half of it right now till I can save up to get LEDs. Still can't decide which ones I want though.

@NOOZE I'm trying to get more pics, but nothing ever changes. Saving money to get lights before I do much more with it.

@55gfowlr I have like 5 or 6 different color sponges growing on various rocks. I'm having a blast even though I can't do much till I get for real lights. Been getting fish here and there, but I want corals LOL.

Here are a few pics of the different sponges and a FTS

Yikes.. I would stop in my tracks and worry about nothing but that aiptasia breakout. You have a TON of very large aiptasias.

I completely agree. You want to get rid of it before it covers the entire tank ;)
