Here's some updated photos. I've very pleased with the outcome of the stand/canopy. The design is contemporary inspired. I'm not a fan of traditional/nostalgic, gaudy trim. I still have some configuring to do. I also lost a number of large SPS colonies, during my move.

The cabinet doors are inlay. They include large, contemporary design, brushed nickle handles.

The canopy hinges backwards in the center. Providing plenty of room from above, to aquascape. There are also 2 handles to be mounted, one on each side.

I'm likely to add another 5 gallon container, to the ATO. This would allow for 10 gallons, in total. Or, I may purchase a single 10 gallon.

It was important, that I was able to access the stand, from every side. I wanted plenty of room to be able to work, down below. All 4 ends of this stand, are oak. A 75 gallon, serves as the sump/refugium.

I wanted to insure, in the scenario of a water spill or leakage, I didn't want any on my wood floors. The carpenter made the floor out of counter laminate, to insure it was water proof and would hold up to 2 inches of standing water in the bottom of the stand.

Thanks! Actually, the stand/canopy was $600 to have built. That was quite generous pricing.

Beautiful set up all around, can't wait to watch this grow into a nice reef!

What are your coral plans (sorry if I missed it), mixed or dominated (hopefully by acros, as it appears there are quite a few already!!!! :))???

Love the new tank setup and that awesome aquascape. Canopy and stand looks outstanding also. Sorry for the losses during the move but the new tank still looks awesome.

Thanks, bud. The guy who built it, would be excited to hear that. He's a cabinet maker, but his first aquarium stand build.

I'm primarily an SPS fan. The majority of the LPS, was relocated from my 92. When I have the opportunity, I'll probably be selling trading a good amount of it for SPS.
