We are actually going solar. It's just going to get us out of the 5th tier.

Just one more reason this build rocks. love to see how it will funtion once operational. Hopefully, you can get enough solar juice to take of your thanks with a bit left over. I am fasinated in this build in so many ways. The fish room, the soloar panels, the Genesis auto water change. All cool stuff. Incognitia, are you hopng for anough solar power to run all your systems? Are the all going to be tied into the the one main sump/skim room? Or will they be completely seperate systems?

Actually, the electricity goes to one central box that is used throughout the house. We asked about dividing it up, but it's not possible. Our goal is to get out of the 5th tier because we are paying a lot per kw.

For our backup we are going with the natural gas 20kW automatic generator.

I didn't stop until after 1. I'm happy to say I have all the stand trim cut out, but need to get 6' more of molding. I'm taking the original molding off another section of wall to make it blend better.

My first time working with molding! I love my chop saw.

It's so close I can taste it.

The genesis is pretty much set up except I need a couple of black cords an an extension.

Stared as this pile for awhile....

... built a mounting box for it instead and looked at the Neptune controllers.

Tore up some more baseboard, sanded and repainted. The baseboard will meet in the corner with a corner piece to match it up.

Learned an important lesson, aluminum roofing tape with tear the flesh from your bones, it's so darn sticky.... but it won't stick to plastic (or probably more specifically, a mold release property). Cleaning it first with alcohol works..... so I have to go clean all of it and restick it. No fair!

Loving the build so far. I really like peninsula tanks too. It makes a nice partition to stare at as opposed to a blank wall. :p
