Oh! I did an edit above about pics LOL!

I'm fixing a little staining oopsie. It wasn't until we were down on the floor with the dog, looking up, did we realize we didn't stain the bottom.

The coins are somewhere.... I'm just not sure where.

And it's back to the drawing board for the aquascaping...I did a "possible", and let it sink in a couple of days, and it didn't say "that's it!" to either of us.

This is unlike anything else I've ever 'scaped, as it really DOES need to look great from 3 sides since it's a peninsula setup. May need to go with a structure approach using rods and whatnot for support, which I was hoping to avoid.

What did you decide on for a stocking list? And I know you aren't planning it, but would a blue ribbon eel make a good tank mate for a lionfish tank (heavy filtration 210g, thinking of what I'm going to do with my current tank after I move and have a larger reef system)

    The stocking list is:

4 medium-bodied lionfish species (Pterois radiata, P. mobassae, P. antennata, and P. sphex)

    Inimicus japonicus (pop-eyed sea goblin)

    Australian harlequin tuskfish (Choerodon fasciatus)

    Scorpaena brasiliensis (red barbfish)

    Possibles:

Dendorchirus barberi (green/Hawaiian lionsifh)...our specimen is pretty large.

Rhinopias frondosa (weedy scorpionfish), depending on how our current specimen weans...it's not a "solid" stick feeder yet.

A ribbon eel would be a good candidate, but besides being tuff to feed (generally not a problem for us), the tank would have to be "eel-proofed", and wouldn't look as good aesthetically.

You know exactly how to get me all wild eyed and drooling!!! I have been staring at your webpage lately and dreaming. I really admire the dedication, knowledge and care you two put into your set ups. It's truly inspiring.

Really happy to hear that Ms. Fenix is recovering well and back to work. I'm sure she is just thrilled to get around a bit more!!

There is something out there that doesn't want us to finish this tank. The dog is really sick. Until she makes a turn for the better..... or worse, we'll be sitting at her side 24/7.

Looks like she's going to make it, we think! She wants to see the tank completed too!

That's great news! It's amazing how close you can get to a dog. I love mine like family.
