That is an awesome sump shed. Do you have any issues with temperature control out there?

Those lights look pretty sweet, I very nearly bought those for my tank. Looking forward to hearing how you like them and seeing pics of them in action. The shed is really starting to come together!

Usually our temps are in the 70s in the summer, but this year was weirdly hot and I hope that isn't a new trend. I think I'm going to put insulation on the ceiling and we still need to paint the roof with white heat reflecting paint. We're also going to put some potted palms around it for shade and kind of hide that whole little area.

It's too bad they look as industrial as they do. Have you seen their new razors? I would outright hang those, they look so nice. Unfortunately they have none of the features that I want.

I'm open for ideas on how to hide this puppies. No canopy and must hang. Does anyone know of a place where I could buy a custom sized Billiards table lamp? That would be ideal.

Just cause I was very curious, I searched and found that lowes has a garage door insulation kit. It might be close to the dimensions of a standard shed size. Not to mention the standard panel insulation they use for outside applications. Some caned foam filler and a few of those panels would have that shed sealed easily. I absolutely love the landscaping idea. Shade is vital for temp control. You can always have a heater on hand, but a chiller and a heater seems overkill. I wonder if the cost of a chiller vs. the cost of a window AC unit would have comparison......

Funny you mention that, the white stuff on the walls is insulation with garage door insulation tape. On the door, in one of the pics, you can see yellowish stuff that had oozed out and that is the foam stuff we sprayed inside for insulation.

Ha! The industrial look is one of the things I liked best about them. ;D In the end, I opted for Radions just because they integrate with the vortechs. IIRC, it was going to end up costing about the same for either.

Maybe find a local glassblower.... You'd have to have a bit of a structure made to have the panels or shade integrate w/ the rails but then you'd have a sweet custom fixture to go along with all the other sweet custom stuff you have. I'm sure there are some starving artists down in South Bay that could make you something way cool.

    Your setup is looking awesome.

I feel like I'm on the 2 year track with my tank as well, and it's nowhere near as complex as yours!

Gonna need a chiller...... gonna need a good chiller.

Thinking of going with Teco, but haven't done any recent research yet. They use to have awesome chillers.
