It was scary for a moment. You don't wanna be talking about a patch job on a brand new tank. Thankfully we were able to come up with a solution that fixes it perfectly.

But you should have seen all our faces when we fully realized what was done. The hole was suppose to be drilled in overflow wall..... it was in the external wall of the tank. O.O

You can kind of see it above the license plate and above the support strap to the left of the tank.... that was suppose to be on the other side of the overflow wall. It in the middle of a regular exterior wall.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
So glad it worked out. The disappointment was probably palpable until you realized you would work it out.

I hope the person that drilled is not aspiring to be a surgeon some day.;)

There was one pic in the schematics that led to the boo boo. Our mistake for not being more clear and his mistake for not clarifying before drilling.

We are going to put a full size piece of black acrylic inside the wall with the hole in it. I know that probably does't make sense.

    Makes sense to me
an internal patch of just the size to cover the hole, wont look anywhere near as good a a full piece will
with the full back panel in black arcylic , the mistake will not be something thats noticable from the front view of the tank

It turns out that I wanted the wall black but forgot to order it that way. We were just gonna put a black film type black back on it. Funny how things turn out and we'll be getting that black like needed!

The maker was so pale I thought he was gonna pass out!

Im not surprised, there is a lot of value in a tank that size, and a dissapointed customer is a scarey thought IMHO
