    Most people seem to use a sharpie and a ruler/straight edge to mark where the LEDs will go on the heatsink. I think some just eyeball it. lol.

    yeah I'll most likely end up doing that. I was wondering if there was some special spacing that would yield optimal results

    I wired everything up, then kinda placed them on the heatsink and played around a bit, and then glued everything down. i think as long as you evenly space them out, and alternate colors, you're fine. I would suggest spacing them out a bit so you can add to them later.

    yeah I ended up ordering thermal adhesive... also I cut the wires so I could soder is as the spacing without the harness extenders is poor.
