well its been olmost exactly 5 months since i first started this renovation of my fish tank, and now i finally have things in working order, and have every piece of equiptment i need. Quite literally actually. My sump came in 3 days ago and i just finished finalizing plumbing and everything. I took out my rock sculpture to change out the sand with finer sand and i ended up just buying rock and starting over. Its all in there now, but i did it a little over an hour ago so its cloudy.

All i need to do is to get my skimmer in the mail and get a pump for my phosphate reactor and get 2 more syringes for my dosing rack and ill be all set! finally! I cant wait.

Tell me what you think about my "dosing station" and new sump!

hey 3reef. I miss when i was more involved in this great site but school has got the best of me and i have less time than i did before. Im sorry for that.

anyways, we resolved the skimmer not fitting into my sump problem. Long story short, i just received in the mail yesterday a NAC skimmer, i already have a cup full, the next morning, of brown disgusting stuff. Im very happy! So that means i have everything i need, i have two fish in the tank right now, a royal gramma and a b&w clownfish. I am all equiped for sps and as soon as i get my mag and ca tests up high enough im going to start with the coral! This tank is really moving!

    just an update.

well here it is, my new clam :) It is about 3 inches and as soon as i saw it i just had to have it. But heres the thing. It was displayed in a tank where you look in from the top and it was sitting next to two purple clams. i looked down at it and said im getting it and when i got home and put it in my tank, a day later i remembered i asked for the green one and its purple. i figured he must have given me the wrong one when i wasnt looking on accident but then i looked through the top of my tank and sure enough, it was bright green ;D take a look. The last picture is with all the pumps off looking down at it. Im glad i got the clam and its doing great, only took a couple of hours for it to attach its self to the rock i put it on and fully open.

PS: sorry for the blurry pics i dont know how to use this camera yet but i uploaded them because it still shows its color. The picture looking down at the clam doesnt do it any justice because i had to turn off the actinics because the reflection of them were blocking the clam

BTW heres an updated fts with my clam and a before and after between my "old cadlight" and my "modified one" (about 6 months apart in the picture)
