ok here is the refugium i have been talking about. The top of the mangroves are out of the water as they are supposed to be and everything is going well. That is a horrible picture though the water is crystal clear trust me it doesnt look like that

ok heres a little update. I added carbon into the system to clear up the water and as you can see it has done a hell of a job. All my params are perfect, the water looks perfect, im algae free, sounds like im ready for some corals!! well wait. I have 100 saved up but since i want more (not really since i want more, she just randomly offered), my aunt offered me a crisp 100 dollar bill for watching her kids for her from 8 in the morning till 1 while shes at work for one week. So, next week my mom agreed to drive me 45 minutes away to a "coral and fish warehouse" is what i like to call it ;D Its called aquatic technology. the place is amazing. Anyways, here are my params

Update!!!

Its been a while since ive updated this thread. Anyways, i recently bought the Octopus BH-100 skimmer. Most importantly in my opinion, i got my first coral!! its a leather coral and i got it for $15 and thats pretty low so i figured why not. it was also a celebration of perfect water tests and the new skimmer. Also added a green chromis.

I will give karma to the first person who guesses where i got the leather from. Think hard!

I found the marco button on my moms $300 camera so ive been having a field day... i wish i had more corals to take pictures of. Ive been doing other objects too... now all i need is a tri-pod. O wait! theres one in the hall closet! yay maybe more pics later
